On April 25, 2006, national women's organizations came together at a National Press Club News Conference to announce a new collaborative grassroots strategy to eliminate the wage gap. Organizations, including YWCA, BPW/USA, AAUW, National Committee on Pay Equity, NOW, and Feminist Majority Foundation, committed to join The WAGE Project in starting WAGE Clubs across the nation.
