Real Life Story of Reprisal

Laure, Housekeeper- St. Paul, MN

Laure worked in the housekeeping department of a local college. She reported sexually inappropriate behavior directed towards her by a colleague to her supervisor and participated in the ensuing investigation. Her employer did not discipline the accused but instead referred Laure for psychological counseling. She was forced to share an office with the harasser, and then later they were moved into a smaller office. The court found that this was sufficient evidence to support her claim of retaliation.
